Privacy Policy
Last updated October 18, 2026
This policy explains what data Mirror, the Mac app, and this website (together, “Mirror”) collect, why, and who processes it. It complements our Terms of Service.
1. Your projects
Projects you open in Mirror stay on your Mac. We don’t collect your code, designs, or project files unless you share a project through Mirror Cloud.
When you share a project through Mirror Cloud, a copy of it is stored on our servers so the people you invited can open and edit it. While people work together, the servers also relay what makes that possible: edits, cursors, preview images of the pages on the canvas, and, when someone follows you, live pictures of your canvas. It all stays there until you stop sharing or remove the project, and only people with access can see it. Our servers run on Fly.io in the European Union.
Everything else stays on your Mac: your canvas, history, settings, and the sign-in sessions of sites you open in Mirror. Voice input is recognized on your Mac by a model Mirror downloads once; your audio never leaves your computer.
2. Mirror account
Sharing through Mirror Cloud needs a Mirror account. To create it, we store your email, the name you choose, the name of each Mac you sign in from, and when the account was created. The one-time sign-in code is sent to your email through Resend, our email provider. Without an account, Mirror never contacts our servers.
3. AI agents
Mirror works with the AI agent you connect yourself. Content you send to an agent goes to that provider under its own privacy policy, not to us.
4. Payments
Mirror Cloud orders are processed by Polar, our merchant of record. Polar collects your payment details, billing address, and email to process the order, handle taxes, and send invoices. From Polar we receive only your email, the subscription status, the number of editor seats, and the billing period, never your card details or billing address.
5. No telemetry
The Mirror app has no analytics, usage tracking, or crash reporting. It doesn’t send us anything about how you use it.
6. Website analytics
This website uses Umami to count visits and clicks such as downloads. Umami doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t collect personal data.
7. Updates
Mirror checks for updates by downloading the release list and the new build from GitHub. We receive nothing from that check. GitHub sees the request, including your IP address, under its own privacy policy, as with any download.
8. Feedback
If you contact us or send feedback, we keep what you send, including your email if you give it, to reply and to improve Mirror.
9. Your rights
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising. You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the data we hold about you, and you have the rights given to you by applicable law, including the GDPR where it applies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Mirror evolves. We’ll post the new version on this page and update the date above.
11. Contact
