Terms of Service
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms govern your use of Mirror, the Mac app, and this website (together, “Mirror”). By downloading, installing, or buying Mirror, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Mirror.
1. Beta software
Mirror is in beta. Features may change, be added, or be removed, and you may run into bugs. Keep backups and use version control for any project you open in Mirror.
2. Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Mirror for personal or commercial work, subject to these terms. During the beta, the Mirror app is free: every feature works on your Mac without a purchase. After the beta, Mirror becomes a one-time purchase that includes all future updates, and everyone who used it during the beta keeps a free license.
You may not resell or sublicense Mirror, or reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent it, except where the law expressly allows it.
3. Mirror Cloud
Mirror Cloud is an optional subscription that lets you share a project by link and edit it together with other people. Viewing a shared project is free. Each person who edits needs an editor seat, billed monthly or yearly at the price shown on our website and at checkout. You can change the number of seats or cancel at any time; the subscription then runs until the end of the paid period. While it runs, the shared project is stored in Mirror Cloud and kept in sync between its editors. When it ends, everyone who had access keeps the latest version of the project on their own Mac.
Orders are processed by our reseller, Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and handles payment, sales tax or VAT, and invoices. Polar’s terms also apply to your purchase. We may change prices for future billing periods and will tell you before a change applies to you.
4. Updates
During the beta, every update is included. Mirror checks for updates and downloads them when you choose.
5. Refunds
Mirror Cloud payments are non-refundable. When you cancel, your subscription runs until the end of the paid period and isn’t renewed. This doesn’t limit any rights you have under consumer protection law.
6. Your projects and data
You own your projects, code, designs, and any content you create with Mirror. Projects you open in Mirror stay on your Mac. Mirror connects to the internet to check for and download updates, to reach the AI agent you choose to use, and, if you use Mirror Cloud, to sync the projects you share.
When you share a project through Mirror Cloud, a copy of it is stored on our servers so the people you invited can open it. It stays there until you stop sharing or remove the project, and only people with access can see it.
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
7. AI agents and third-party services
Mirror works with AI agents and services you connect yourself. Those services are provided by third parties under their own terms, privacy policies, and pricing, and you are responsible for your accounts and any costs with them. Content you send to an agent is processed by that provider, not by us.
Code and changes are written by your AI agent, and results depend on the model. Review every change before you ship it. You are responsible for the code you accept and for how you use it.
8. Acceptable use
Use Mirror only with products, websites, and code you are allowed to access and modify, and in compliance with applicable laws. Don’t use Mirror to infringe others’ rights, to access systems without permission, or to distribute malware.
9. Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or bug reports, we may use them to improve Mirror without any obligation to you.
10. Our intellectual property
Mirror, its code, design, logo, and name belong to us and are protected by intellectual property laws. These terms don’t give you any rights to them beyond the license above.
11. No warranty
Mirror is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that Mirror will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will work with every product or AI agent.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, code, profits, or business arising from your use of Mirror. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Mirror in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Termination
You can stop using Mirror at any time and cancel Mirror Cloud from the customer portal. We may suspend or revoke your license if you materially breach these terms. Sections 6 and 9–12 survive termination.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Mirror evolves. We’ll post the new version on this page and update the date above. If you keep using Mirror after a change, you accept the updated terms. Changes never reduce what you have already paid for.
